Project details : Christophe Mahé, founder of the Espace Group audiovisual group created his headquarters in the heart of one of Lyon's key areas, La Confluence, a former warehouse district on the banks of the Saône river. With fully glazed recording studios and a brasserie, all located on the ground floor, the building complies with the City's requirement to include a publicly accessible cultural or leisure space in each project. La Confluence also required specific architecture for each building; the Espace Group building stands out with audacious volumes and façades that switch between solids and space, or opaque and transparent, with the rhythm of a metronome.
