Project details : History of the Signal factory begins in the late 1800s. When the German Max Sievert bought land on both sides of the Esplanade. Here he would build the factory premises for their businesses, Sieverts Kabelverk and AB Alpha, or " Iron - Alpha" as any in Sundbyberg would come to call the mechanical workshop. The premises have been manufacturing cable and telephone parts . It was long the city's telegraph office and later was driven both record labels and printing under the familiar name Alpha. All played a role in transmitting signals from the heart of Sundbyberg and throughout the world . Today, industries moved out, but most buildings remain . And the walls are an important part of Sundbyberg history forever entombed . It's almost as if the old quarter just have been waiting to meet. As if the houses have longed to be filled with bustling people again and get a completely new meaning for life in our great little town.
